Estimating
Your estimates shouldn’t take an evening

Most service owners still rebuild every quote from scratch. Here’s why that costs jobs — and how a short job brief can become a client-ready estimate in minutes.
Ask a contractor, designer, or home-service owner when they write estimates, and you’ll hear the same answer: after hours. After the job walk. After dinner. After the kids are in bed.
That isn’t a work ethic problem. It’s a workflow problem. Recalling prices, typing line items, formatting a PDF, and double-checking totals turns a warm lead into an evening project — and by morning, another company may have already sent a proposal.
The fix isn’t typing faster. It’s starting from a draft that already understands the job. Describe the scope, materials, and timeline in a few sentences. Let AI assemble the structure — line items, quantities, and a sensible total — then you adjust pricing with your judgment still in control.
That’s the core loop behind Economique Elegance: brief → review → share. Typical manual estimates take 45–90 minutes. With an AI first draft, many teams get a shareable estimate in roughly two to five minutes of review.
Speed doesn’t mean sloppy. Clients still get clear line items and a professional presentation. You still own the numbers. You just stop rebuilding the document from a blank page every time.
If estimates are still eating your evenings, the question isn’t whether you can afford a better process. It’s how many same-day quotes you’re leaving on the table.
Ideas clave
- Blank-page estimates push quoting into nights and weekends
- A short job brief is enough to draft structure and totals
- You keep pricing control — AI only removes the busywork
- Same-day proposals close more work while the conversation is warm

I used to spend 45–90 minutes on every estimate. Now a short job brief becomes a client-ready draft in minutes — then I tweak pricing and send. Same-day quotes win more work. #ServiceBusiness #Estimating
